Why throw away a perfectly good piece of furniture or a well used cutting board just because it's old & needs a little help? True crafting is creating a new use from an old thing - now a days some people might call it junking but I like to think of it as "Sustainable Home Furnishings". Anyway, that is exactly what I do here. Renew, Refurbish, Reimagine, Reinvent. In addition to refinished furniture & the like, I am also a Dixie Bell Elite Retailer & I create repurposed home accents & curate unique antique & vintage finds.

We use only all natural human grade ingredients and with 10 varieties (tested by Bear and Ford our newest addition) we have never met a pup we can’t please. Along with our cookies, CBD gummies and smoked jerkies, we offered a curated variety of hand made leashes, collars, pet accessories and new and vintage pet themed home decor. We offer full nutritional information provided by independent laboratory testing and all treats are lovingly made in our kitchen - which we registered with the NJ Dept. of Agriculture.

I started candle making in the Spring of 2021 when I was looking for a hobby of my own. It was something I always wanted to attempt and one day while I was shopping online I found a "starter kit" for candle making and decided to give it a try. Well, that was all it took because after I worked with that little "kit", I was hooked. My husband is a woodworker and has done craft shows for many years and after much trial and error and perfecting "my perfect candle recipe" I decided I wanted to be put in the craft show mix. And in the Spring of 2022 is when Stephanie's Candle Cove was born. I love to be able to create and make new concoctions and maybe even bring a little joy to someone else's household.

    Stephanie's Candle Cove

2nd Life Studio represents my desire to continue a creative life after retiring from my interior design business. It’s also a nod to my belief in giving animals a second chance as well as being earth conscious by recycling, reusing and repurposing.  I enjoy working with textures and color, mainly in macrame, weaving, and art collage.

The inspiration for my company name, and it’s focus, comes from my family. In previous generations, re-using and re-purposing what you had was born out of necessity. When you were short on cash, you had to be long on imagination! Giving old things new life was commonplace down on Jacobus Lane, where my grandparents lived. Theirs was a home filled with creativity, industry, love…and lots of sawdust! I hope I'm making my grandparents proud by carrying on the family tradition - using a little imagination (and the occasional power tool) to create new uses for old things.

My items are either crocheted or embroidered, specifically cross stitch. My crochet items are made out of various yarns that I've found over the years and couldn't resist whether it was the colors or the texture. I use various color combinations and designs to help fit everyone preferences whether it to be used as a gift, decoration or an everyday item. My embroidered onesies are made out of soft but durable onesies and I add a soft layer over the back of the design to keep the thread from rubbing against and irritating the babies skin.

Perfect as a thoughtful gift or just for personal use my items are not only nice decor or keepsakes but also made to be used and enjoyed and hopefully even passed down over the years. I infuse my love of colors into all my work along with the ability to make custom items aiming to create a unique and loved item for everyone out there. I love nothing more then bringing a smile to someone's face when they find an item that they love and just can't resist.

Hello! I'm Marinelle, a devoted Mom, loving Grandma, wife, sister, aunt to many and proud daughter of a compassionate and humble man, and I'm thrilled to join this team of co-op vendors at The Goat's Haul.

I’m here to share my passion as a maker.  What sparks my passion for creativity? Growing up in another country, I was raised with the mindset that bought toys were a luxury, so my ingenious grandfather would craft a set of pots and pans out of tin cans, inspiring me with his resourcefulness. I marveled at his ability to transform everyday items into something extraordinary, but yet simple, a testament to the skills and talents that God had bestowed upon him. He created out of love, and that love continues to resonate within me. Although he's no longer with me, I feel his presence whenever I bring a new idea to life. Our city home had a lush garden, where my grandparents cultivated vegetables and raised pigs, which my grandfather would breed and sell at the market. The farmhouse aesthetic I've come to appreciate today may differ from the one I knew, but the essence of simplicity remains the same. You'll discover that I pour my heart into the simplicity of every creation, as the farmhouse look and feel embodies the beauty of uncomplicated living.

Colossians 3:23-24 says, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord.  A reminder that people should work to show God's presence in their lives.
